Note from the Magazine Editor

Please note the deadline for submitting articles is the 1st of the month preceding publication. This should cover all the regular contributions such as Church Porch, Events, Gleaning, Youth Club, Garden through the Year, Walks, etcetera.  If I am able to deal with the regular articles well in advance that would help me enormously. Naturally if there are events within the village that occur after the 1st and before we go to press then these can be included.  I would ask when possible to please not leave sending your news and articles to the last minute because this does not give me a chance to comfortably put the Newsletter together in a less pressured and frantic way.

May I ask all of those who send in articles via email to please just send everything in Word without any formatting or boxes.  It can confuse me and my computer if I receive various articles in different formats and I then have to spend valuable time stripping out the format in order to set everything into Publisher—sorry if this sounds ‘gobbledy gook’ to some of you but hopefully it makes sense to the computer users!  I just need plain text. Naturally if you have a preference with the layout i.e. an advert, then send me a draft of how you would like it to appear BUT please also send in plain unformatted text .

FRONT PAGE SPONSORSHIP

Finding sponsors for the colour front page is a continuing  quest.  If there are any of you who would like to sponsor the front page in celebration of an event, birthday, business then please contact me. I would like to keep the colour page but if sponsors cannot be found then the Magazine will have to go back to black and white.
