Demonstrations of Heritage Skills

used in the building of a Mediaeval church

A major new emphasis in 2011 will be to display some of the great skills and crafts used to build a church in Mediaeval times. Some of these skills are still in use today albeit practiced by only a few specialised craftsmen.

- contemporary relevance to the Trail’s theme

- information and education on our country’s heritage

- opportunities for all ages and abilities to consider their own interest and possible future participation.
