Bergh Apton's Sculpture Trails - Symbiosis 1999

From the organisers:

Bergh Apton is a village of makers and shakers. In 1992 Bergh Apton had a dream. The first part of which was the opening of some of the villagers' secret gardens to the public. A resounding success. The next stage was opening the village in all it's mystery, its gardens, its businesses and farms, its curios and fancies. Again the theme attracted a large number of people. These acorns have grown into a massive oak tree - the Bergh Apton Sculpture Trail. This, the second trail is planned in response to the overwhelming acclaim of the first, and is called 'SYMBIOSIS'.

Our main aims of the Sculpture Trail are:

  • to provide an opportunity for the village to work together as a community.
  • to foster latent talent in the village by stimulating artistic, creative and organisational strengths.
  • bring the world of arts to a rural community
  • to raise funds for the maintenance of the Church, Village Hall and selected charities.
  • to fund future arts events and tio contribute to village projects.

Thank you for joining us.
